EPA Features ERG’s Work in Its Annual Greenhouse Gas Emissions Inventory

EPA recently released its 21st Inventory of U.S. Greenhouse Gas Emissions and Sinks, which shows trends in greenhouse gas emissions from 1990 to 2014. ERG helped EPA develop many of its estimates, including emissions from industrial processes and product uses, natural gas and petroleum systems, wastewater treatment, coal mining, manure management, enteric fermentation, and various land use activities. This year's inventory includes several methodological improvements that ERG assisted with, including the integration of new data sources for natural gas and petroleum systems and for industrial processes and product use. ERG also designed and built EPA's interactive Data Explorer platform to allow users to easily explore and download inventory data. For additional information about the inventory, see EPA's press release.
