ERG Helps Develop PFAS Information for Clinicians
ERG is proud to have supported the release of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR) product, "PFAS: Information for Clinicians," which became available in January 2024. Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances, known as PFAS, are a group of widely used and long-lasting chemicals that can result in environmental and human health risks. ERG and ATSDR’s clear and visually intuitive products help clinicians understand the complexities of PFAS exposure. ERG thoroughly curated this resource for a year, integrating cutting-edge research and toxicological findings to ensure accuracy and relevance. We collaborated closely with healthcare professionals and ATSDR experts, soliciting feedback and tailoring content to meet the needs of busy clinicians. The resulting document emphasizes shared decision-making and offers a comprehensive guide for addressing patient concerns and minimizing PFAS exposure risks.
