ERG Helps New York State Agency Develop Five-Year Research Plan for Adaptation

Over the past year, ERG has helped the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) collect input from a wide cross-section of stakeholders in New York on how and what NYSERDA should research in the climate change adaptation arena. Through surveys, in-depth interviews, and facilitated group discussions, ERG collected research priorities and drafted a research plan that highlighted themes and specific research priorities according to sectors, such as transportation, agriculture, public health, energy, local communities, and more. NYSERDA just published the plan and will be using it to guide future funding and research priorities.
