Building meaningful relationships with clients, co-workers, stakeholders, and the community is key to the success of every project. Over my years of supporting the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s mission as a contractor, I have been fortunate to learn from some of the best and brightest researchers. I look forward to continuing to use my experience and engineering skills in developing innovative solutions to environmental problems in the United States and around the world.
Parik Deshmukh, an ERG vice president, is an experienced group leader, program manager, and research engineer with over 14 years of research leadership experience in designing, developing, and implementing innovative environmental research programs that have involved numerous federal, state, and local air quality agencies. He has extensive experience in developing novel solutions to complex environmental problems, including research approaches to tackle emerging air quality issues in the U.S. and internationally. Working as an onsite contractor, Parik has led several research programs within the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Office of Research and Development, including mobile sources emissions research, next generation fenceline and fugitive emissions research, and community low-cost sensor networks research.
Parik has co-authored over 20 peer-reviewed journal articles and presented at numerous major conferences. He currently serves as a technical reviewer for several prominent environmental research journals, including Atmospheric Environment, Atmospheric Pollution Research, Science of the Total Environment, Environmental Pollution Research, Urban Forestry & Urban Greening, Remote Sensing, and Building and Environment.
Parik holds an M.S. and B.S. in mechanical engineering from North Carolina State University and a Business Sustainability Certification from the University of Cambridge. In his free time, he enjoys watching the English premier league, keeping his toddler out of trouble, and watching live bands.
