Audit Standards, Sampling Media, and Equipment
Support
ERG provides fully turnkey ambient monitoring services from network design
and installation through sample analysis and data management.
Ultra-Pure Sampling Media
ERG purifies and certifies high-quality media for use in collecting environmental
samples. Media prepared by ERG are of the highest purity and are guaranteed
to conform to EPA quality specifications. Sampling media are prepared in either
bulk quantities or
pre-packaged into sampling cartridges. XAD-2® resin is cleaned using sequential
Soxhlet extraction and controlled drying
and exceeds EPA's blank and purity requirements.
- Purified XAD-2® resin (bulk)
- Purified XAD-2® resin packed in EPA Method 0010 sampling modules
- Purified XAD-2® resin packed in TO-13A cartridges
- Purified XAD-2® resin packed in TO-10 cartridges
- DNPH solution for EPA Method 0011
Performance Evaluation Solutions in Glass Vials
ERG prepares solutions of EPA Reference Method analytes for performance evaluation
standards following EPA-approved standard operating procedures. Solutions can
be provided at either a single known concentration or prepared to cover a range
of known
concentrations.
- EPA Method 6/8 (SO2)
- EPA Method 7 (NOx)
- EPA Method 12 (lead)
- EPA Method 13A/13B (fluoride)
- EPA Method 26/26A (HCl/Cl2)
- EPA Method 29 (multiple trace metals)
- EPA Method 24 (paint and Ink)
- EPA Method 101/101A (mercury)
Materials Spiked on Filters
Certified solutions of known concentrations of target analytes are prepared
and spiked onto pre-cleaned quartz or fiberglass filter media. Representative
spiked filters are analyzed periodically from our inventory to ensure concentration
stability and method compatibility. Representative cleaned filter media are
also analyzed periodically to ensure they meet method blank requirements.
- EPA-Approved Method 12 (lead)
- EPA-Approved Method 29 (multiple trace metals)
Materials Spiked Into Cylinders or Canisters
Gases are mixed to known concentrations using ERG's proprietary transfill device
and filled into either SUMMA®-polished canisters or into Scott high-pressure
cylinders.
- EPA-Approved Method 18 (volatile organic compounds)
- EPA-Approved Method 25 (total non-methane hydrocarbons)
- EPA-Approved Method TO-15A
- EPA-Approved PAMS Ozone Precursors
Materials Spiked on Sampling Media
Known concentrations of selected organic compounds are spiked directly into
either XAD-2®, Tenax®, or DNPH cartridges. Media are spiked using EPA-approved
standard operating procedures. Rep-resentative samples from each lot of spiked
media are periodically analyzed to ensure stability and compatibility with the
method.
- SemiVOST/EPA Method 0010 (semivolatile organic compounds)
- VOST/EPA Method 0030 or 0031 (volatile organic compounds)
- TO-11A cartridge
- TO-13A cartridge (PAH)
- TO-13A cartridge (selected EPA Method 8270 semivolatile organics)
