Life Cycle Services
Life cycle inventory identifies and quantifies the resource use,
energy requirements, and releases to air, water, and land for each
step in the life cycle of a product system, from raw material extraction
through ultimate disposal. The resulting environmental profile enables
clients to develop a baseline of environmental performance and target
areas for environmental improvement strategies.
Life cycle assessment takes the inventory process one step further,
identifying potential environmental and health impacts. These factors
can be integrated on a site-specific or system-wide basis.
To quantify the specific costs of environmental health, safety,
and recycling associated with a product or process, we perform life
cycle management. Extracting these amounts from indirect or overhead
costs allows our clients to make cost-based decisions on environmental
management.
We can also use an integrated life cycle inventory/life cycle management
technique to summarize the relative environmental burdens, costs,
and qualitative differences of alternative products and processes.
