ERG Conducts Training Class in Hong Kong on New Mobile Source Emissions Model

In November 2015, ERG conducted a two-day training class in Hong Kong on a new version of Hong Kong’s mobile source emissions model, which we have supported since 2008. The model, which estimates emissions from on-road vehicles, will be formally released in January 2016. This model will help inform Hong Kong decision-making in regard to air quality standards and vehicle emissions regulations. More than 60 transportation consultants and members of the environmental community attended the class. The Hong Kong Environmental Protection Department updated the model using data from portable emissions measurement system devices.
