Blue Earth to Co-Host UCI's Coastal California Resilience Workshop October 7
The Blue Earth Consultants division of ERG is collaborating with the University of California, Irvine (UCI) to coordinate the fifth annual coastal resilience workshop at UCI, titled Planning and Implementing Resilient Solutions in Coastal California.
The free, public workshop will be held at UCI on Monday, October 7. The workshop is sponsored by UCI, through the UCI Toward A Sustainable 21st Century initiative. Building on the success of the workshops Blue Earth and UCI organized in 2015–2018, UCI will connect coastal planners, practitioners, funders, and decision-makers to share lessons learned and strategies for building coastal resilience. Participants will leave the event with a greater understanding of how to plan and implement coastal resilience projects across communities. Specifically, participants will gain insight during the following panels:
- Approaches to Build Political Will and Community Support to Address Climate Change
- Modeling Impact: Sea Level Rise, Economics, Data, and Tools to Inform Decisions
- Case Studies: Planning and Creating a Pipeline of Resiliency Solutions
- Solution Case Studies
