Air Quality
ERG supports federal, regional, state, local, and tribal government agencies in their efforts to ensure that all citizens have safe, healthy air to breathe. We identify and characterize important point, nonpoint, mobile, and natural air pollution sources; develop emission factors and source activity information needed for inventories; quantify source and ambient pollution levels through direct measurement and interpretation of the results; develop viable emission control options; and prepare regulations, permits, and other materials that help effect real improvements in air quality. ERG’s nationally recognized scientists apply this expertise to further the nation’s efforts to address new challenges in areas such as global climate change and homeland security.
