I thoroughly enjoy my communications work to reach and teach people, including developing catchy slogans, appealing graphics, and creative strategies to ensure that our clients’ messages reach their target audiences. I also love how communications touches on so many other disciplines. I get to work on a wide variety of topics with a wide variety of clients because good communication is essential to everything we do!
Lori Rhoades is a senior communications manager with more than 20 years of experience in strategic planning, social marketing, and communications. She manages a team of employees conducting outreach, training, and event planning efforts for multiple federal agencies, including the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Federal Bureau of Investigation, and U.S. Department of Defense.
Lori is skilled at coordinating communication teams and ensuring client satisfaction. She supports a variety of environmental health and safety initiatives nationwide through outreach campaigns, annual events and challenges, and website design and maintenance. She is an expert at planning and executing client events ranging from small strategic planning meetings to large multi-day events. She also manages website design and maintenance for multiple federal clients, ensuring compliance with agency templates, policies, and standards. Her communications expertise spans a wide variety of outreach products, including presentations, posters, newsletters, websites, and promotional emails.
Lori holds a B.A. in environmental studies from Gettysburg College. She’s a native to the Washington, D.C., area, having grown up in Maryland and then crossed over to Virginia after college for her first job in environmental consulting.
