History
ERG was founded in 1984 by President David Meyers and a small group
of associates in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The group shared a common
goal: a desire to do work in which they believed and to create a
working environment based on respect and cooperation.
The company soon settled into a cozy, 2-story house in Arlington,
Massachusetts. A word processor in the dining room churned out reports,
analyses, brochures, and more. A collegial atmosphere made up for
the many days, nights, and weekends that everyone worked to get
the startup company off the ground.
The hard work quickly paid off. In the mid to late 1980s, we grew
rapidly, thanks to a burgeoning client base seeking support in economics,
environmental issues, communications, and meeting planning. As more
clients knocked on our doors, our expertise grew to meet their changing
needs. We brought talented people on board in such areas as computer
programming, engineering, public health, and graphic design.
In the 1990s, we expanded geographically as well, opening offices
in the Washington, D.C., area; Research Triangle Park, North Carolina;
Austin, Texas; Chicago; Boston; Atlanta; Nashua, New Hampshire;
and Sacramento, California.
Today, ERG is comprised of more than 350 professionals in regional
offices nationwide. As the company has grown, we have expanded and
diversified our consulting services.
But our priorities haven't changed. People still come first.
