Chesapeake Bay Program, Businesses for the Bay
Environmental Excellence Award for Outstanding Achievement for Pollution Prevention, Small Facility, 2004
Environmental Excellence Award for Partner of the Year, 2005
The Chesapeake Bay Program is a regional partnership that has led the restoration of the Chesapeake Bay since 1983. Recipients of the Businesses for the Bay Environmental Excellence Awards are selected by their peers and honored for their successful efforts to implement pollution prevention projects.
Virginia Recycling Association (VRA)
Award for Excellence, Outstanding Business category, 2004 and 2005
VRA was formed in 1990 by a group of individuals who are committed to expanding state recycling opportunities. VRA is a leading resource of recycling information for its members, the general public, the Virginia General Assembly, local government, business, and industry.
A Better City Challenge for Sustainability

A Better City (ABC)’s 2011 Challenge for Sustainability is a voluntary sustainability initiative for Boston area properties. ERG won the Practically Green Company of the Year award due to its high employee participation rate. Additionally, two ERG employees were among the five highest Practically Green scores of all employees participating from 37 companies.
Arlington County, Virginia, Green Games
Silver Award, 2011
ERG competed with other Arlington-based offices and buildings to reduce waste, energy, and water use and set other environmental goals. ERG received a Silver Award in the inaugural 2011 Green Games competition for the commercial office sector.

Transportation Research Board (TRB)

International Finalist, 2009, for “Best Workplaces for Commuters and Climate Change: Making the Connection” CD-Rom
TRB sponsored a competition to identify the top methods and models for effectively reaching nontechnical audiences on the important linkage between transportation and climate change.
